Popi's BIO: Biography: Popi Marden
After discharging from the military in 1959 Popi began his career in art and design with positions in the advertising industry that took him from designer, to art director/photographer and eventually opening his own studio in 1971 as Marden Creative Services. That business continued until 2007 when Popi decided it was time for him to take a new direction in his life. With over 40 years of experience as a art director, designer and photographer he knew that art was the direction he would pursue for the rest of his life. It is his life’s passion.
His art style and development.
In the early 90’s when the transition from conventional design and photography moved to the digital era Popi used his digital experience, design and photography to create computer generated abstract/contemporary art. Popi moved his ideas from the computer to painted art as he envisioned it using acrylics on canvas and other enduring substrates. In addition to his contemporary art his computer generated art can both be experienced as high-end color prints or giclées that will outlast a life time. Popi’s digital and fine art can be viewed on any electronic medium including computer monitors, TVs, LED light panels, wall murals, overhead lighting or as fine art color prints or canvas prints to any size.
Since 2007 Popi has spent all of his time developing his art.
He currently has over 30 finished pieces of art, both large and small pieces as well as his digital art. It’s a new day that calls for bold new creative experiences.
Ideology: Popi Marden
Art to Popi is like comtemporary jazz, blues and great songs. It’s lived between the notes,
the lyrics, the colors and stretches the imagination and enlivens the senses. And, each time
you experience the music it takes you to another place and time, and so it is with Popi’s art.
